How it all began 

Prairie Grove Farms was started back in 1997 by a group of agricultural visionaries who understood that, when it comes to pork, "Taste" and "Health" could come in the same package.  The group wanted to find a "better way" to bring families "100% Natural" pork - going beyond what is required by the USDA.  And they did. 

Today we deliver on this taste and health promise by partnering with local farmers who agree to our protocols of raising animals "a better way".  That means producing exceptionally delicious pork products for you and your family that NEVER uses antibiotics, and NEVER uses artificial growth stimulants or artificial ingredients, EVER.

We are proud to produce all of our products in a facility that allows for the most humane treatment of animals during harvesting.   

Environment

As a company, that specializes in only natural products, we work hard every day to become more "Green".  We believe in sustainable practices, and, on the farm side, pay close attention to DNR and EPA regulations.  Our partner farms also recycle waste into the earth as fertilizer, to enrich the soil for crop production. 

Elsewhere, we use recycled paper, when possible, to print our product information and package our products.  Going forward, we will continue to look at alternative energy sources that are better for Mother Earth, and will continually introduce sustainable innovation across our processes.  

We carry it through

Prairie Grove Farms is known for our 100% Natural Fresh Pork cuts, but we also carry the same quality and care through to our bacon, cooked ribs, hams and sausage. 

How are these products made "a better way" ?  Quite simply, we take out the stuff you don't want in there.  Only high quality, lean cuts of natural, better way pork are used in these products, so there are NEVER any antibiotics, NEVER any artificial growth stimulants, and NEVER any artificial ingredients, EVER.  You will also see our products contain NO MSG, NO Nitrate Added, NO artificial Preservatives, and are soy and gluten free. 

We can't give away the recipes, but only natural seasonings such as sea salt and celery juice are used to deliver great flavor, without the added artificial ingredients so common in these types of products today.

To be sure you are getting pork products that go beyond the minimum requirement of "Natural", look for the Prairie Grove Farms Label, or any product stamped with the "Taste a Better Way" seal of approval.  And feel good you are getting the taste and health you can trust.
